persistence the key to success



A lot of people are ready to throw their aims and purpose overboard and give up at the first sign of defeat. Only a few persist until they attain their goal. Lack of persistence is one of the major causes of failure. It is a weakness common to the majority of people and it can only be overcome by effort. The starting point of all achievement is desire, weak desires bring weak results. If you are weak in persistence centre your attention on building a stronger fire under your  desires. Those who have cultivated the habit of persistence seem to enjoy insurance against failure. Be persistent no matter how slowly you may at first, have to move. With persistence will come success.

five major cause of failure

I was just go through a motivation book today and I came across the reasons why majority of people who fail, compared to the few who succeed and I just feel like to share with you five major causes of failure.
1. LACK OF A WELL-DEFINED PURPOSE IN LIFE: there is no hope of success for the person who does not have a central purpose, or definite goal, at which to aim.
2. LACK OF SELF-DISCIPLINE: Discipline comes through self-control. Self-mastery is the hardest job you will ever tackle, before control conditions you must first control yourself.
3. PROCRASTINATION: we go through life as failures because we are waiting for the ‘time to be right’ to start doing something worthwhile. Do not wait. The time will never be ‘just right’ start where you stand work with whatever tools you may have and better tools will be found as you o along.
4. LACK PERSISTENCE: most of us are good ‘starters’ but poor ‘finishers’ of whatever we start, always remember failure cannot cope with persistence.
5. OVER-CAUTION: The person who takes no chances generally has to take whatever is left when others have finished choosing. life itself is filled with the element of chance.
There are many more….But these are basically the foundation of failure to me. It may be different for others. So which one of these are you guilty of from the list and you are working toward to improve. For me it No 4…..yes No 4. Just comment on the box below.

The Reason For Failure




One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. We are all guilty of it, temporary defeat should mean only one thing, that there is something wrong with your plan. When faced with defeat the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what most people do. Millions of people go through life in misery and poverty because they lack a sound plan. If the first plan you did does not work, replace it with a new plan. If this new plan fails to work, replace it with another, until you find a plan which does work and also follow your plan with persistence.
When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, replace it with new ones and  set sail once more towards your goals. If you give up before your goal has been reached you are a ‘quitter’ remember “QUITTER NEVER WINS AND WINNER NEVER QUITS.

You can do it! Nobody have done it

Whenever I hear this words “you can do it! Nobody have done it or those who did it fail so don’t boarder trying because you will also fail so don’t try it, then I ask myself why should I listening to what they are saying…in life success and failure are largely the results of habit. The average human being can tell you all the reasons or ways why you will fail in whatever you doing but cannot tell you how to succeed in life.
It is said that there is greatness in every individual on earth, there is greatness resident in you. You came to this world not empty handed. You came loaded by the divine creator for you to impact this world. Develop your mind for greatness and great things. Realize that you were born great in life and you are to release your greatness for the world to see. Do not live life in regret, live your best life now. It is better to try and fail and not to try at all and still fail. Always remember that mistakes are priceless opportunities to learn essential lessons.
There is a voice in us crying not to be unrecognized….. it is the voice of greatness.

The Power of Thoughts

One day, a yogi and his disciple arrived in the big city. They had no money with them, but they needed food and a place to stay. The disciple was sure that they were going to beg for their food, and sleep in the park at night.
"There is a big park not far from here. We can sleep there at night", said the disciple.
"In the open air?" Asked the yogi.

"Yes", responded the student.
The yogi smiled and said: "No, tonight we are going to sleep in a hotel and eat there too".
The student was amazed and exclaimed, "We cannot afford that!"

"Come and sit down", said the yogi.
They both sat down on the ground, and the yogi said:
"When you focus your mind intently on any subject, it comes to pass."
The yogi closed his eyes and started to meditate with full concentration. After about ten minutes he got up and started to walk, with his disciple following him. They walked through several streets and alleys, until they arrived at a hotel.
"Come, let's enter inside", the yogi said to his disciple.
They just set foot in the entrance, when a well-dressed man approached them.
"I am the manager of this hotel. You look like traveling swamis, and I believe you have no money. Would you like to work in the kitchen, and in return I'll give you food and a place to stay?"
"Fine", the yogi responded.
The disciple was perplexed and asked the yogi: "Did you use any magic? How did you do that?"
The yogi smiled and said, "I wanted to show you how the power of thoughts works. When you think with full and strong concentration about something that you want to happen, and your mind does not resist the subject of your thought, your thought materializes."
"The secret is concentrating, visualizing, seeing details, having faith and projecting mental and emotional energy into the mental scene. These are the general prerequisites. When your mind is empty from thoughts, and only one single thought is allowed to enter, it gains a very great power. One should be very careful with what he thinks. A concentrated thought is powerful, and exerts a very strong influence."
The disciple looked at his teacher and said: "I see that I have to sharpen my concentration in order to be able to use this power."
"Yes, this is the first step", the yogi replied.

In this profession of ours where most people aren't "entrepreneurial," rejection is natural and normal in our type of business. For every 20 people you present your business to, expect 19 "no's" for every "yes." You may do better than that, but expect 19 rejections. This way, the rejections won't bother you. Also, realize that they're not rejecting YOU—they're simply rejecting an idea. Just keep moving ahead.
Always bear that at the back of our minds and keep your focus straight and strong when rejection happens. And remember that you're now one step closer to the next "yes."

Simple Tips to Overcome Laziness



What Is Laziness?

It is the desire to be idle, to do nothing, and to resist effort.
We all enjoy being lazy, such as after working hard for several hours or days. However, if doing nothing occurs too often, something has to be done about it.
In order to live to the fullest, and achieve success, we must learn how to overcome laziness.

Simple Tips for Overcoming Laziness:

1) Break down a task into smaller tasks
We often avoid tasks because we find them too big, too overwhelming, too tiring, or taking too much of our time. Breaking a task into several smaller tasks can solve this problem. Then, each one will not seem so difficult. which do not require too much effort.
This approach can be applied not only to tasks, but also to goals and everything else we have or need to do. This will tend to melt much of the laziness and inner resistance we often experience.
2) Rest, sleep and exercise
In some cases, laziness is due to being tired and lacking energy. If this is true in your case, you need to give yourself the rest and sleep you need, and also give your body enough exercise and fresh air.
Learn how to increase your willpower, self-discipline and inner strength with simple, powerful exercises. Develop the skill to overcome procrastination, laziness and indecisiveness.
3) Motivation
 The reason for laziness is due to lack of motivation. You can strengthen your motivation through affirmations, visualization and thinking about the importance of performing your task or achieving your goal.
4) Have a vision of what and who you want to be
Frequently reflecting on the person we want to be, the goals we want to achieve, and the life we want to live, can motivate us to act.
5) Think about benefits
Think about the benefits you will gain if you overcome your laziness and take action, instead of thinking about the difficulties or obstacles. Focusing on the difficulties of carrying out the task, leads to discouragement, avoidance of taking action and to laziness. It is important that you focus your mind and attention on the benefits, not on the difficulties.
6) Thinking about the consequences
Think about what will happen, if you succumb to laziness, and don't perform your task or chore. Thinking about the consequences of not acting, can also push you to take action.
7) Doing one thing at a time
Focus on doing one thing at a time. If you feel you have a lot to do, you will probably feel overwhelmed and let laziness overcome you, instead of you overcoming laziness.
8) Visualization
Your imagination has a great influence on your mind, habits and action. Visualize yourself performing the task easily, energetically and enthusiastically. Do so before starting with a task or goal, and also when you feel lazy, or when your mind whispers to you to abandon what you are doing.
9) Repeat affirmations
Tell yourself:
"I can accomplish my goal."
"I have the energy and motivation to act and do whatever I want or have to do."
"Doing things makes me stronger."
"Doing things makes things happen."
10) Regards a task as an exercise
Consider each task as an exercise to make you stronger, more decisive and more assertive.
11) Procrastination
Avoid procrastination, which is a form of laziness. If there is something you have to do, why not do it right now and get through with it? Why let it stay nagging at the back of your head?
12) Learn from successful people
Watch successful people, and how they do not let laziness win. Learn from them, talk with them and associate with them.
Overcoming the habit of laziness is achieved through a series of daily actions and activities, when you choose to act, instead of remaining passive. Every time you overcome your laziness you get stronger. Every time you choose to act, you increase your ability to win, achieve goals and improve your life.
